SCV's Wise-Hawkins Vying for Macaroni Grill Sing-Off

If you’ve been to the Canyon Theatre Guild, you’ve seen her as Betty Jean in “The Marvelous Wonderettes” or as Pasty Cline in “Always…Patsy Cline.”

While still in high school, she starred as Eponine in Canyon High’s production of “Les Miserables.” In 2010, she graduated from CalArts with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Classical Voice.

Now Stevenson Ranch resident Marie Wise-Hawkins is hoping for enough votes to make it the Romano’s Macaroni Grill Opera Sing-Off finals in Dallas, Texas.

Wise-Hawkins has a versatile voice and has performed at the Texaco Country Showdown and the Alabama China Symposium, in addition to numerous local nonprofits.

Santa Clarita Valley residents who are interested voting for this local star can view a thirty-second sample of her performance of “O Mio Babbino Caro” and cast their votes on the Opera Sing Off Facebook page, here. Individuals can vote once a day, but must have their votes in by 8:45 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Voting ends Feb. 3.
