Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit

 

This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 crimes occurred:

(1) Aggravated Assault, (1) Residential Burglary, (1) Commercial Burglary, (4) Vehicle Burglaries, (3) Shoplift, (1) Petty Theft.

A residential burglary occurred near Claudette St and Golden Oak Rd. An unknown suspect kicked open the pedestrian door to a garage in order to gain access. At the time of the report, it could not determined if any property had been taken.

On Sunday, 01/27/2013, a commercial burglary/vehicle burglary occurred near the 26400 block of Ruether Avenue. Unknown suspects broke into a cargo truck and took miscellaneous items. The suspects also attempted to break into an office building at the same location.

Two vehicle burglaries occurred near the intersection of Whites Canyon Road and Nadal Street on Tuesday, 01/22/2013. Suspects gained entry to both vehicles by shattering the front passenger side window. Taken during the two incidents were electronics and personal items.

An RV was broken into near the 20600 block of Santa Clara Street. Suspects pried open the lock to the side door of the vehicle and took electronic equipment.

There were three incidents of shoplifting from the Wal-Mart store located at 26471 Carl Boyer Drive. The three incidents resulted in five felony arrests, including burglary and petty theft with priors.
