Former Canyon High School Wide Receiver, Drew Wolitarsky, the Southern California record holder for career receiving yards and career  receptions, committed to the University of Minnesota on Sunday.

The four-year starter at Canyon racked up a record 5,125 yards on 279 receptions scoring 54 touchdowns, second most in state history.  In addition to wide receiver, Wolitarsky played cornerback and returned kicks and punts for the Cowboys.

The 3-star recruit chose Minnesota over Arizona, Army, Hawaii, Navy, Nevada, New Mexico State, San Diego State and San Jose State because he was impressed by the coaching staff while on his official visit on September 21st.

Golden Valley Outside Linebacker, Leon Jacobs committed to the University of Wisconsin over the weekend while on a visit.  Jacobs, who also plays basketball for Golden Valley, was a small bright spot in a disappointing season for the Grizzlies.
