Castaic and Val Verde, Zone 2
There were 5 Part-1 Crimes in Zone 2 this past week. Four incidents of grand theft were reported in Castaic. A generator was stolen from Country Girl RV storage, 20 automotive batteries were stolen from a parking lot on The Old Road, $15K in jewelry was stolen from a house on Beacon Street during a party, and $54K was stolen by fraud using back charged credit cards at a local business. There was one petty theft reported from the Castaic Inn. The victim reported $300 worth of clothes were taken from the laundry room.
Notable Arrest: A Castaic unit arrested a fugitive on an outstanding warrant from Texas.
Please remember to close your garage doors, and never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity.
