The College of the Canyons Board of Trustees will appoint a new member to replace newly-elected assemblyman Scott Wilk during an open Monday session.
During the meeting, the board will interview 13 candidates to fill Seat no. 5 Wilk vacated in December 2012. Wilk was elected to California’s 38th Assembly District seat in November.
Candidates for the empty board seat will be interviewed by current-board members. Candidates will be interviewed during 10 to 12 minute interviews during the open session. The board will vote and appoint a new member after all candidates are interviewed.
