The Master’s College men’s basketball team hosted its third annual basketball clinic for Special Olympics’ athletes Wednesday, April 17.
The clinic included ball-handling skills, shooting fundamentals, and competitive drills for both the boys and girls associated with the Special Olympics organization in Santa Clarita.
“It’s always a pleasure and privilege to spend time with some of the Special Olympians of the Santa Clarita Valley,” commented head coach Chuck Martin. “I’m proud of our guys in the way they interacted and invested their time into the special-needs kids. We always come away much more blessed by the experience than the kids who participate in the clinic.”
The coaching staff and administration of The Master’s College Athletic department is committed to cultivating relationships that reveal a heart and life-change brought about by a relationship with Jesus Christ. Opportunities like participating in neighborhood outreach events help TMC students put their personal faith into action through serving those in the local community.
