The Santa Clarita Swap Meet celebrated its 50th anniversary Sunday. There was a live band playing, prizes to be won including a 42 inch flat screen TV, and raffles. The KHTS 1948 Mac Fire Truck made an appearance.
Lovers of antiques would enjoy perusing all the various booths with their wide assortment of collectibles. Part of the swap meet is a farmers market where people can buy fresh produce. There are also food vendors and a beer garden. For the kids there were jumpies and pony rides.
The Santa Clarita Swap Meet is located at the old Saugus Speedway on Soledad Canyon Road. They are open Tuesdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sundays 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
