Zone 5-Valencia reported seventeen Part-1 Crimes during the past week. The criminal incidents included a residential burglary, vehicle burglaries, theft from an unlocked vehicle, and shoplifting from local businesses.
A residential burglary occurred in the 25400 block of Via Nautica Street. Entry was made via an unlocked window. Jewelry was stolen from the master bedroom.
Two vehicle burglaries occurred. One vehicle was parked in a lot at the 25400 block of Rockwell Canyon Road. Entry was made by smashing the rear passenger window. Items stolen were a laptop computer, car stereo, wallet, and car charger. The second burglary occurred in the 27500 block of Wellington Court. The vehicle was parked in the victim’s driveway and no forced entry was made. The victim’s checkbook, which was visible from the outside of the vehicle, was stolen.
There was a theft from an unlocked vehicle that occurred in the 27000 block of Victoria Lane. The vehicle was parked in the guest parking lot area of the complex. Items stolen were a phone charger, makeup bag and loose change from the ash tray. Most of the items stolen were visible from outside the victim’s vehicle.
Do not become a victim! Please do not leave valuables unattended or visible in your vehicles. Secure items in locked trunks or take personal belongings with you when you exit your vehicle. If possible, park in well-lit areas. If you see any suspicious activity or vehicles in your neighborhood, please call the Sheriff’s Station immediately at 661-255-1121.
There were multiple arrests made by proactive Santa Clarita Deputies assigned to the Valencia area last week. Arrests included possession of narcotics, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, drunk in public, warrants and shoplifting from local businesses.
