CougarNews.com | Finishing courses faster at COC

Whether you’re looking to finish your English or Math courses sooner, or just enjoy a fast paced school environment then the PAL Program here at College of the Canyons is a great option to think about.

The PAL Program is an accelerated learning course that puts two sections of either Math or English into one semester. Both are divided into two eight week courses. The student is graded separately for each course, and at the end of the regular semester will have completed two courses.

The PAL Program does require a lot of time and dedication, not to mention lots of focus. When looking into the program one should consider, the work load, availability for class, and allowed time for study.

To become a PAL student you can either go to an orientation in Hasley Hall in room 351, or you can go online and take an online orientation.

Once completed allow about 24 hours for your results to be published, and then you can successfully register as a Pal Student.

The benefits of PAL are many, including the professor and students who remain the same throughout the term.  This kind of familiarity is good for students who want to make friends while studying.
