Raid in Shadow Pines Yields Drugs, Stolen Vehicles

cc082213A search warrant served by deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station led to five arrests in the Shadow Pines subdivision in Canyon Country, officials said Thursday.

“Several units were involved — our Detectives Bureau, as well as our special problems team and our Crime Prevention Unit,” said Sgt. Rich Nagler of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.”

Deputies also managed to recover stolen property due to the warrant, said Lt. Brenda Cambra of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

A stolen truck and a quad, or four-wheel all-terrain vehicle, were also recovered at the house, according to Sheriff’s Station officials.

The warrant was served at 7 a.m., Sheriff’s Station officials said.

“The warrant was served at the 29000 block of Parkglen Place,” Cambra said. “At the location, four individuals were arrested, three males and a female.”

Two men were arrested for “operating a chop shop and receiving stolen property,” while another individual was arrested for an outstanding warrant, she said.

The woman who was on the premises was arrested for methamphetamine possession, Cambra added.

Two days prior to the incident, a fifth man was arrested who was tied to the location, and due to evidence seized during the serving of the warrant, he was arrested for receiving stolen property.

The names of the suspects are not being released because they are part of an ongoing investigation, according to Sheriff’s Station officials.
