The Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation announced this week that Holly Schroeder has accepted the position of President /CEO of the organization. Schroeder, a Valencia resident, led the Los Angeles and Ventura Chapter of the Building Industry Association over the past eight years, and previously worked for the State of Oregon.


“We are pleased that Holly will lead our dynamic group”, said Don Fleming, co-chair of the SCVEDC.  ”Holly’s management and executive expertise will help grow the SCVEDC as an organization. Additionally,  her intimate knowledge of the Santa Clarita Valley and Southern California business environment and the issues we face will let her hit the ground running as we focus on growing our local job base. Interestingly, the SCVEDC Board conducted a nationwide search for this position; it is exciting that our final choice is a local resident with an outstanding business reputation and proven track record.”


Holly Schroeder replaces Jonas Peterson who left in June to take a position in the Las Vegas area.  Schroeder will assume the CEO position on Sept. 9.
