Arson Suspected in Aug. 8 Wrightwood Fire; Tips Wanted

us_forest_service_logoPreliminary findings on the Sharp Fire origin indicate that it was human caused. Forest Service investigators are still seeking public information on the blaze that burned 243 acres in the Angeles National Forest.


The investigative team worked swiftly to identify the most likely cause of the fire that started Aug. 8 in the Angeles.  Investigators indicated that the fire began around mid-day in the southeast vicinity of Wrightwood.  The team is seeking public tips, leads and general information regarding the start of the Sharp fire.  If you have information that might assist investigators, please contact the Angeles Incident Information Line at 626-574-5208.
