[DAA] - There will be a vigil this Thursday, July 18, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the corner of Valencia Boulevard and McBean Parkway in memory of Trayvon Martin and in solidarity and support with his family and Marissa Alexander, a Florida African American woman now serving a 20-year sentence in a Florida prison for using a gun to fire a warning shot to stop her violent, abusive husband.
The vigil is sponsored by members of the Santa Clarita faith community, the Democratic Alliance for Action and members of the NAACP.
