Dr. Lee Rogers, candidate for U.S. Congress in California’s 25th Congressional District, today announced the endorsement of Congressman Tony Cardenas, who represents the neighboring 29th Congressional District.

“Lee Rogers is a diligent and hard-working leader on the health care issues facing his patients and our country,” said Cardenas. “He has a detailed knowledge of the economic issues facing Southern California and the solutions he is offering are creative and impressive. I have great faith that he will be an excellent representative for the residents of the 25th District.”

Cardenas was first elected to the California State Assembly in 1996, representing the San Fernando Valley. After three successful and productive terms in Sacramento, he ran for the Los Angeles City Council, where he served from 2003 to 2013. Some of his major accomplishments include securing hundreds of millions of dollars in education funding, passing gang prevention reforms, and creating the City of Los Angeles’s Animal Cruelty Prevention Task Force.

“I am very excited to have Congressman Cardenas on my side,” said Rogers. “He has been an extraordinary leader in the greater Los Angeles area for years and has already been making waves in Congress since he was elected last year. I look forward to working with him to fix the dysfunction in Washington as colleagues in the next Congress.”

Dr. Lee Rogers is a nationally-renowned doctor specializing in podiatry at Sherman Oaks Hospital. Lee and his wife, Susan, live in Simi Valley where they are raising their two daughters, Emma and Lily.
