[SUSD] – The Saugus Union School District governing board conducted its annual organizational meeting Dec. 10.
The meeting began with oath of office for reelected Board Members, Douglas A. Bryce, Paul De la Cerda, and Judy Egan Umeck.
De la Cerda begins his third term and was elected to the position of Board President for 2014.
Bryce begins his fourth term and was elected to the position of Board Clerk for 2014.
Additionally, Umeck begins her fifth term and was honored for her service as Board President for 2013.
All three reelected Board Members and continuing Board Member Rose Koscielny have completed the California School Board’s Master of Governance program and are actively involved with the Santa Clarita Valley Board of Trustees. Their children have or are attending our Saugus Union School District Schools. They are proud of the district accomplishments including National Blue Ribbon and California Distinguished School recognitions, and being voted the No. 1 school district by Signal readers.
