Actor Vin Diesel announced on his Facebook page Sunday night that “Fast & Furious 7,” in which he co-stars with the late Paul Walker, will be released April 10, 2015.
That’s a delay of nine months from the original release date of July 10 in Europe and July 11 in the United States.
Walker died in a high-speed crash Nov. 30 in Valencia.
Shooting of the seventh installment in the “Fast & Furious” series started in September 2012. Universal Pictures hasn’t said how the film will be completed without additional work from Walker, which had been scheduled for Dec. 2 in Atlanta. Universal suspended shooting after the crash.
Diesel also released a photograph (seen here) that he described as “the last scene we filmed together.”
“There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared … in the film we were now completing … the magic captured … and, in just how far we’ve come,” Diesel wrote.
