Hart Football Season Comes to an End

The Chaminade Eagles scored two quick touchdowns in the third quarter and Hart quarterback Brady White was sacked four times by the Eagles Joel Loth as the Indians lose the Southern California Division II regional bowl 28-10 Saturday night at College of the Canyons.

Chaminade will now play the northern regional winner Enterprise Saturday at the Stub Hub center for the Division II state championship.

Hart running back Connor Wingenroth, who rushed for 168 yards against Valencia last week in the CIF-SS Northern Division championship, was held to 43 yards on 17 carries by the Eagles defense.

The defense was the story in the first half as both teams had trouble moving the ball.  Chaminade held a 7-3 lead at halftime.

The Eagles then took their second possession of the second half 75 yards and scored on a 45-yard pass from University of Miami-bound quarterback Brad Kaaya to Braden Lenius.

Hart went 3-and-out on their next possession, only to have Chaminade’s Jordan Athey return the punt 56 yards to the Hart 4-yard line. Cory Watkins then punched it in from a yard out to make it 21-3 Eagles.

Hart quarterback Brady White was pressured all night by the Eagles defense. He finished 23-of-46 for 249 yards and a 21-yard touchdown strike to Chase White late in the game. Brady was also intercepted once and lost a fumble.
