The Los Angeles County Arts Commission, in partnership with the Los Angeles County Chief Executive Office, has released a Request for Qualifications call for a student art competition to inspire the County’s window display at the California State Capitol in Sacramento.
The display, which is seen by nearly 500,000 annually, will highlight the local sights, attractions, events and history of Los Angeles County.
All undergraduate college students that both live and attend school in Los Angeles County are encouraged to apply. The deadline for qualification applications is Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 5:00 P.M.
The Arts Commission will review qualifications and will select three student finalists to receive stipends to create original art designs. One winner will be selected, which will be used as inspiration for an exhibit designer to build the display.
