CougarNews.com | Cougars Baseball allow 11 hits, lose 7-5 to Allan Hancock

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. — College of the Canyons came back after a 4-0 win against the Allan Hancock Bulldogs on Tuesday looking to have their first win streak this season by beating the same team at home on Thursday.

COC couldn’t repeat recent history.

The Cougars baseball squad had an early lead in the second inning thanks to a triple by outfielder Kevin Lenik, but never saw it again after Bulldog run in the third and eventually six more in the sixth inning.

COC would lead a comeback run afterwards, but could only put four runs in before losing another game and falling to a losing record of 5-7 and 1-3 in WSC-South Division play.

College of the Canyons’ Matt Blake, who came in the 6th inning as a relief pitcher for only 2 outs, got the loss (0-1) and Allan Hancock’s Zack Skipper got the win.
