Two men standing trial for an assault and two attempted kidnappings are due back April 12 at Los Angeles Superior Court in Lancaster, a court official said Thursday.
Judge David Walgren is presiding over the case of two Los Angeles men who allegedly attacked an Agua Dulce woman who lived on the 30000 block of Briggs Road.
Deputy District Attorney Seza Mikikian is prosecuting the case.
Clyde Richards, 45 and Collin Foster, 56, are accused of pistol-whipping a man and his mother, and then kidnapping the man while his mother was unconscious.
Each defendant is is facing seven charges, five for kidnapping and two for assault in connection with the incident, according to a court official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to speak to the media.
The two men were arrested after a pursuit by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies and then booked locally, even though their alleged crimes occurred with the Lancaster station’s jurisdiction.
Both men now are being held at the Pitchess Detention Center South Facility in Castaic, according to Sheriff’s Department records.
