Freeway Pursuit of Suspect in Attempted Murder Ends in Arrest

lapdThe Los Angeles Police Department has arrested a suspect after a pursuit on the I-5 Freeway.


According to Deputy Josh Dubin of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, the incident began when police ran the license plate of a green Mazda and identified the vehicle as being involved in an attempted murder, and that the driver should be considered armed and dangerous.


The patrol car attempted a traffic stop of the suspect vehicle on the I-5 South just north of Hasley Canyon.


The driver did not yield and a pursuit began.


The chase ended on the I-5 South near the Route 14-Antelope Valley Freeway interchange.


The driver was detained without incident.
