ACTON— A 32-year-old man was killed after being struck and pinned between a car and several haystacks at Acton Fox Feed.

The accident happened around 12:15 p.m. where Clemente Delgado had just recently started working.

Delgado died of blunt force trauma to the head and torso after being shoved several feet into the haystacks, a witness said.

He was transported to Palmdale Regional Hospital and died less than an hour after being struck.

Police say 71-year-old Betty Marks accidentally hit the accelerator of her 2005 Mercedes Benz while reversing to pick up her newly purchased load of hay.

Marks was not arrested and driving under the influence is not being considered as a factor, according to the Palmdale Public Information Office.

The case is being handled by Palmdale CHP and Homicide Bureau and the incident is still under investigation.

Delgado leaves behind two kids and a pregnant wife.
