Attempted Sam's Club Robbery Tops the CC-West Blotter

This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 crimes occurred:

(2) Robberies, (2) Residential Burglaries, (5) Commercial Burglaries, (2) Shoplift, (4) Vehicle Burglaries, (2) Theft from Unlocked Vehicles, (2) Grand Thefts, (3) Petty Thefts and (2) GTA

In the early morning hours of Sunday, 02/03/2013, a robbery occurred when an armed suspect attempted to corral employees of the Sam’s Club store, located at 26468 Carl Boyer Drive, into a break room near the back of the building. The suspect was deterred when additional employees appeared and fled, calling 9-1-1. After a search of the location by the Sheriff’s Department’s Special Enforcement Bureau, it was determined the suspect fled prior to law enforcement arrival. No one was hurt during the incident and the case is currently under investigation.

An Estes robbery occurred near the 19300 block of Soledad Canyon Road. Two suspects fought with loss prevention failing to pay for items and exiting the store. The suspects are still outstanding and the case is under investigation.

A residential burglary occurred near the 18200 block of Sierra Highway. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s open garage and took a bicycle which was secured to a wall rack.

An attempted commercial burglary occurred near the 26450 block of Ruether Avenue. Unknown suspects attempted to gain entry into a business office by drilling out the key lock and prying open the front door.

A petty theft/shoplift occurred at the Costco located at 18649 Via Princessa. A female suspect entered the store, cut open packaging and placed items in her purse, and attempted to walk out of the location without paying. The suspect was detained by loss prevention personnel and was subsequently arrested by responding deputies.

A male suspect was detained by loss prevention personnel at the Wal-Mart located at 26741 Carl Boyer Drive for shoplifting while attempting to exit the store with a cart full of unpaid items. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies.

A window smash vehicle burglary occurred in a parking lot near the 18800 block of Soledad Canyon Road. The victim left a purse on the rear passenger floorboard of the vehicle. Another window smash burglary occurred near the 18600 block of Via Princessa. During the incident, the suspect took a wallet from the center console of the vehicle.

A GTA occurred near the 28000 block of Meadowcreek Rd. A 1997 Honda Civic was taken during the early morning hours of Wednesday 01/30/2013. The vehicle was parked in front of the location.

On Friday, 02/01/2013, deputies from SAT and CPU teams arrested two suspects on narcotics and weapons related charges. One of the suspects, Jason Flint, is on parole under the guidelines of AB-109 prison realignment.
