Sept. 16: What You Need to Know for a Community Arts Grant

citydollarsignThe City of Santa Clarita will host a meeting for non-profit organizations interested in learning more about the 2013 Community Services and Arts Grants on Monday, Sept. 16, at noon at the Santa Clarita Activities Center, located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway.


At the meeting City staff will review information about available grant funding, categories for applications, timelines, insurance and budget requirements, and general criteria evaluated as part of the grant review process, in addition to answering questions.


Each year the City funds Arts and Community Services grants for local nonprofit organizations to support innovative and crucial programs and projects that serve residents.  Past funding has been awarded to support equipment upgrades, after school enrichment programs, facility renovation projects, community art projects and performances at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons.
