Sept. 27 VIA Luncheon: Tips for Taking Your Business to the Next Level

logo-via1In a competitive business climate, it’s not sales and marketing that matters as much as innovation, according to the speaker for the Valley Industry Association’s Oct. 15 keynote luncheon, 11:30 a.m. at the Valencia Country Club.

Dr. Virginia Green is innovation and growth manager for California Manufacturing Technology Consulting, and said innovation is the key to taking a service or product to the next level, before focusing on marketing. She said her presentation will focus on innovation and its importance in today’s market, with three key steps for businesses to take.

Green’s more than 20-year career has included running businesses, building brands and working with growth-oriented companies. She is an advisor at Capella University, and has taught for the graduate business and doctoral departments at Pepperdine, Woodbury and New York University. Torrance-based California Manufacturing Technology Consulting is a nonprofit consulting group that specializes in manufacturing solutions, healthcare solutions and defense solutions.

“Standing out in a crowd is one of the most important things for a business,” VIA CEO and President Kathy Norris said. “I believe Dr. Green will have some very helpful insights for the Santa Clarita Valley’s business community.”

Reservations are required for the luncheon. Members who reserve by Oct. 3 pay $40, or $45 between Oct. 4-10. After Oct. 10, the cost is $50. The cost for non-members is $65. “No shows” or cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will be billed. There is a $10 surcharge for attendees without a reservation. The Valencia Country Club is located at 27330 N. Tourney Road.
