Real Life Church Celebrating Recovery with New Program

rlc[KHTS] – Real Life Church ministry is launching the new faith-based program Celebrate Recovery starting Sept. 27.

The program will focus on three main topics that refrain the recovery process: “hurt, habit and hang-ups.”

Celebrate Recovery program will help people change while they move forward from things that are holding them back, according to an announcement from Bill Rieser, Celebrate Recovery ministry leader.

The goal of the new program is to bring together “a family of fellow strugglers” who can work together to help each person through his or her problems.

Anyone is welcome to attend, as Celebrate Recovery is “also a place for people who haven’t faced… intense battles but want greater wisdom on leading a healthy life filled with freedom,” Rieser said.

The program ministry leaders use the Bible as a guide to direct program attendees through common issues, such as abandonment, abuse, divorce, rejection, addiction (alcohol, drugs, food, shopping, cutting), depression, anger and more.

Celebrate Recovery program will meet every Friday from 6-10 p.m., starting this week.

Meeting schedule is as follows: 6-7 p.m., barbecue dinner and social hour; 7-8 p.m., full group meeting (feat. live workshop music and teaching); 8-9 p.m., open small groups (by out by gender into issue-specific groups); 9-10 p.m., cafe time.

Meetings will be held at Real Life Church Newhall building at Savia.

Child care will be available for children up to age 11.
