A great non-league game between two powers will happen Friday as the Hart Indians, No. 1 in the CIF-SS Northern Division rankings, host the defending CIF Central Section Division III champion Ridgeview Wolf Pack out of Bakersfield.
The Indians, ranked No. 12 in the state, are 2-0 on the season with an opening week win on the road over Santiago and an overtime thriller to knock off Chaminade. They are averaging over 55 points a game and 700 yards of total offense in those two games.
Hart quarterback Brady White has thrown for 979 yards and 10 touchdowns in those first two games, with Connor Wingenroth averaging 188 yards rushing. ”Wings” broke a Hart school record with a 99-yard touchdown run against Chaminade two weeks ago.
Ridgeview, ranked No. 1 in Division III and No. 11 in the Central Section, lost their opener but bounced back with big wins over Independence and Foothill. The Wolf Pack is led by 210-pound junior running back Jaccob Lopez who averages 12.6 yards per carry and has already scored six touchdowns.
