Deputies Make Two Pot Busts in SCV

On August 30, 2013, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies from Parks Bureau stopped a male adult who was driving a vehicle on the roadway adjacent to Castaic Lake Park for a traffic violation.


During the traffic stop, deputies discovered that the driver was on probation for a narcotic violation. The deputies conducted a narcotic investigation and discovered a baggie of marijuana and a small plastic container of hashish oil in the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect was identified as Tye Marcus Pipho male white, 21 years old, a resident of Canyon Country.


Tye Marcus Pipho was immediately arrested and booked at Santa Clarita Station for Transportation of Marijuana for Sales and Possession of Concentrated Cannabis with a bail of $25,000.


In furtherance of the narcotic investigation, the deputies went to a residence in Valencia. While there, the deputies contacted a male white adult and completed a search the residence. It was then they discovered a bag containing four pounds of marijuana with a street value of $18,000, a digital scale that is normally used in marijuana sells operations, and equipment used to manufacture hash.


The suspect was immediately arrested and booked at Santa Clarita Station for Furnishing/Transportation of Marijuana for Sales with a bail of $25,000. The deputies identified the suspect as Thomas Stuart Palmer 21 years old and a resident of Valencia.
