 Similar to “First Aid” and CPR, Mental Health First Aid helps participants learn how to identify those experiencing mental health problems before they get professional help and support. The next FREE class sessions will be held September 13, 20 & 27 from 8am to noon at the Center.

September is Suicide Prevention Month
Suicide is a major public health concern. Around 38,000 people die by suicide each year in the United States. More people die by suicide each year than by homicide.
Suicide is tragic. But it is often preventable. Knowing the risk factors for suicide and who is at risk can help reduce the suicide rate.

Mark your calendars for the 10th annual Kid Expo, set for Sunday October 13, 11am-4pm at Golden Valley High School. The largest-kid focused event in Santa Clarita features more than 100 exhibitors showcasing services, products and activities available for children in the Santa Clarita valley including karate, dance, art, gymnastics, tutors and more.
