The Valley Industry Association is thrilled to announce that Fred Kreger and Chris Jacobsen were recently appointed to the organization’s 19-member governing board.

“With backgrounds in finance and legal dealings, respectively, they bring great insights to the table,” VIA President and CEO Kathy Norris said. “I believe they will add excellent dynamics to the board.”

Kreger, a certified mortgage consultant, has been with American Family Funding for nearly a decade. As the branch manager for the credit union division, he oversees origination, processing, member care, credit union portfolio reviews and financial portfolio reviews. He has 20-plus years of operations and customer service experience, and trains loan officers and credit unions in customer service and sales skills. He is president of the California Association of Mortgage Professionals.

“Fred is a dedicated advocate for the mortgage industry,” Norris said. “In addition to regularly writing articles on industry issues, he has spoken on the state of mortgage lending, as well as testifying before the California State Legislature and the U.S. Congressional House Financial Services Committee.”
