The Forest Service will have an Open House at the district office here, featuring tours, fire-vehicle displays and photo opportunities with Smokey Bear from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 4. The public is invited.
The event will take place at the Santa Clara Mojave River Ranger District office, a “green” environmentally-friendly facility at 33708 Crown Valley Road. Forest personnel will also have an information tent with fire-prevention and safety literature including about camp fires and cooking in the Angeles National Forest. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel will also be participating in safety education.
