Newhall Crime Blotter Includes Arrest for Heroin, Meth

Last week Newhall had eight reported Part-1 crimes. Newhall saw three vehicle burglaries, two petty thefts, one attempt commercial burglary, one grand theft, and one vehicle was stolen.

Hart High School reported an attempted commercial burglary occurred between Tuesday, 01/29/2013 and Wednesday, 01/30/2013. An unknown suspect entered school grounds and attempted to break into a concession stand located near a sports field (ref -01451).

A 2011 Toyota RAV4 was reported stolen from the park and ride area of Highway 14 and Newhall Avenue (ref -01582).

A vehicle burglary was reported in the 25200 block of Fourl Road. This incident occurred on Saturday, 02/02/2013, between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. The driver side rear window was shattered and numerous baseball caps were stolen (ref -01558).

A vehicle burglary was reported in the 24800 block of Walnut Street. The incident occurred on Wednesday, 01/30/2013 between 7:40 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. A car stereo was reported stolen (ref -01483).

On Tuesday, 01/29/2013, at approximately 1:00 a.m. deputies arrested a 51 year-old male for possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, possession of needles, and driving with a suspended driver’s license. This incident occurred in the area of Orchard Village Rd and Lyons Avenue (ref -01334).
