Sulphur Springs Takes Home the Trophy in an Annual Go Tournament

Students at Sulphur Springs Community School have earned some bragging rights and the rights to display a shiny trophy for an entire year.

About 20 kids from Sulphur Springs and Valley View competed in the third annual Go Tournament at Valley View Monday night.  The students have been learning the ancient board game from Joe Walters, the American Go Foundation’s 2012 Teacher of the Year.

Walters, whose grandson is a former Valley View student, visits each of the schools once a week during lunch to teach the kids how to play.
