Lady Mustangs Track Performs Well at NAIA National Championships

logo_tmcsportsMarion, Ind. – The Lady Mustangs had a strong start at the 2013 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships where four TMC athletes toed the line in three different events.


In the women’s 400m hurdles prelim, Ayla Draper (Visalia, CA) completed her heat in 1 minute and 03.97 seconds, advancing to Saturday’s final 400m hurdle race.


On Friday, Draper is slated to compete in the women’s 100m hurdles, where she enters the competition ranked 27th on the NAIA National Performance List.


In the women’s 1,500m prelims, Hannah Kellerman (Sartell, MN) posted a final time of 4:44.85, finishing second in her heat.  Kellerman’s time was the fourth fastest out of a field of 19 competitors.  On Saturday, Kellerman will compete in the women’s 1,500m final.


In the 10,000m final, Karis Frankian (Saugus, CA) capped off a phenomenal freshman year, finishing fourth overall with a final time of 36:26.04.  Katrina Graham (Riverside, CA) followed in 20th place with 39:45.34 as her final time.


Friday at 3:10 PM (PST), Frankian will compete in the women’s 5000m prelim, entering the competition ranking fourth on the NAIA National Performance List.
