WorkSource, SBDC Offer QuickBooks Cert Course

Job seekers needing QuickBooks skills to help secure a desired position are invited to attend a free orientation about a new certificate program at the Santa Clarita WorkSource Center on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The orientation will be held at the Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook University Center, Room 301, located at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road.  All job seekers are encouraged to arrive before 9:00 a.m.

Sponsored by the Small Business Development Center, the orientation will review intensive computer training including keyboard skills and basic accounting fundamentals.  This orientation focuses on job training for individuals who want to develop or update their QuickBooks skills.  Job seekers are encouraged to dress to impress, have multiple copies of their resume, and be prepared to complete an employment application for a potential interview.  Interested individuals must register for the free orientation online at http://tinyurl.com/QuickBooks-Orientation-030113.

Classes are hosted twice a week for three hours in the evening for a total of 24 hours beginning early in March 2013.  There is no cost to attend for eligible candidates. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
