Interactive 'Enviroscape' at Santa Clarita Libraries (Video)

The City of Santa Clarita kicked off the first workshop in a three-part hands-on series to help educate students in kindergarten through 12th grade on how to prevent pollution and protect the environment at the Old Town Newhall Library.

Each of the workshops are open to the public and will include a 3-D landscape display with a contained mini watershed, known as an Enviroscape model, which demonstrates how pollution is created and how it can be prevented. This interactive model allows students to view different actions to better understand the sources of water pollution while emphasizing pollution prevention by showing best management practices with a follow up demonstration.

* “Enviroscape” Presentation 2 – Wednesday, April 10, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Valencia Library.

* “Enviroscape” Presentation 3 – Wednesday, May 8, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Canyon Country Library.
