TMC's Dougherty is GSAC Player of the Week

Sam DoughertySANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Based on her performances against Hope International and No. 17 nationally ranked Vanguard, Sam Dougherty of The Master’s College women’s volleyball team has been named as the Golden State Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week.


Dougherty registered 42 kills (5.3 k/g), 24 digs (3.0 d/g), 5 assist blocks, and 3 aces as No. 21-ranked The Master’s College won both of its GSAC matches last week.


In the Lady Mustangs’ win over Hope International, Dougherty had 15 kills, 12 digs, 3 assist blocks and 2 aces. In TMC’s five-set, nail-biting victory against Vanguard, the senior outside hitter notched 27 kills and chipped in another 12 digs.


On Tuesday, TMC will travel to No. 10 Westmont (14-2, 2-1 GSAC)  for a 7:00 p.m. match.
