The city of Santa Clarita will host the first public outreach workshop Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to discuss the Soledad Canyon Corridor Plan, which will help guide future development and uses within the commercial corridor area.
Residents and business owners along Soledad Canyon Road between Camp Plenty Road and Solamint Road have been invited to attend the workshop, but all residents in Santa Clarita are welcome to join and share their feedback. The meeting will be hosted at the Canyon Country Library, located at 18601 Soledad Canyon Road. No RSVP is needed to attend.
The Soledad Corridor Plan does not propose any new development, but serves as a planning tool to guide future changes when desired by property owners.
City staff have evaluated and documented each property within the corridor planning area and created illustrative maps that will be used during the public outreach process. The next step for the City includes gathering feedback and engaging in conversations with residents and business owners about the current design characteristics and those they feel should be represented in the plan.
Those unable to attend the workshop can participate and share comments at the project’s interactive blogging website SantaClaritaCorridorPlan.com and/or attend future outreach meetings. For more information about this workshop or future outreach, sign up under “Subscribe To Blog Via Email” on the SantaClaritaCorridorPlan.com website. Public outreach feedback will be posted on the website when available.
