The Saugus Union School District will host its third annual Festival of the Arts on June 7 at Grace Baptist Church.
Along with Honors Orchestra and Chorus, there will be artwork displayed and a poetry reading from each of the 15 schools.
Three pieces of art will be selected – one from primary grades (K-2), one from middle grades (3rd-4th), and one from upper grades (5th-6th) – from each school site.
Art winners will be invited to attend the Festival of the Arts, where their artwork will be displayed.
One poetry winner from each school will be chosen to recite their poem. Each poem submitted must be original and no longer than one minute.
This year’s theme is “Time.”
Anyone interested in participating will need to submit artwork or poetry to their school office no later than May 3. Judges will choose the winning pieces and notify winners by May 10.
