The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a State of the County luncheon on Wednesday, May 1, at the Hyatt Regency in Valencia.
Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich will address the gathering to give a report on our county’s progress to date and his predictions for the coming year. Antonovich will speak about the state’s current budget problems and its effect on municipal services.
“It takes about 30 minutes and there will be an opportunity for Q and A,” said Terri Crain, CEO of the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce. “It’s targeted to business owners and residents who want to know what’s going on in the county and the surrounding Santa Clarita Valley area. We encourage members of the community to attend and get informed,” Crain added.
The annual luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. and will include a full lunch and the opportunity for attendees to meet and network with local business owners and community leaders.
Pre-paid tickets for the event are $50 each. Tickets at the door on the day of the event are $60. People wishing to attend should RSVP to info@scvchamber.com or call (661) 702-6977.
