Betsy Kenyon, an adjunct instructor of photography at College of the Canyons, crossed the finish line in Boston about 30 minutes before the first explosion.
Also running the Boston Marathon was her brother-in-law, Curtis Wynkoop. Both were in the area when the explosions occurred.
On Monday afternoon, Kenyon spoke about the incident in a phone interview with the Cougar News team at COC.
