one 5-Valencia reported twenty five Part-1 Crimes during the past week. The criminal incidents included a grand theft motorcycle, robbery, residential/vehicle burglaries, and shoplifting from local businesses.


A grand theft motorcycle occurred on the 24100 block of Del Monte Drive at 8:00 am. The motorcycle was locked and stolen from the parking structure at the location.


An attempt robbery occurred on Bellis Drive and Arroyo Park Drive at 4:00 pm. The victim was walking in her neighborhood for exercise when she was approached by the suspect and asked to give him some money. The victim was able to get away from the suspect and call 911. The suspects were not located. The victim was not harmed during this incident.


Only two residential burglaries occurred this week. One occurred at the 26800 block of Nautical Lane at 12:00 pm. Two arrests were made by Deputies assigned to the Crime Prevention Team. One suspect had an outstanding warrant for petty theft and the other suspect was on probation for narcotics and theft related charges. Items stolen/recovered included numerous cell phones, electronics, tools and credit cards. The second burglary occurred at the 25800 block of McBean Parkway at an unknown date/time. Suspects entered the victim’s bedroom and stole gold wedding bands/rings from a jewelry box. There was no forced entry observed however, the victim stated multiple individuals have access to his bedroom.


Two vehicle burglaries occurred between the early morning hours of 10:30 pm – 8:00 am. One burglary occurred at the 23500 block of Millston Court. The vehicle was parked in the driveway and no forced entry was made to the vehicle. Items stolen were a child’s booster seat, sunglasses and miscellaneous papers all visible from the outside of the vehicle. The second occurred at the 27400 block of Wayne Mills Place between 7:00 am- 7:00 pm. The vehicle was a rental van parked in the parking lot. Items stolen were a lap top computer and a television.


Do not become a victim! Please do not leave valuables unattended or visible in your vehicles. Secure items in locked trunks or take personal belongings with you when you exit your vehicle. If possible, park in well-lit areas. If you see any suspicious activity, please call the Sheriff’s Station immediately at 661-255-1121.


There were fourteen arrests made by proactive Santa Clarita Deputies assigned to the Valencia area last week. Arrests included, burglary, assault, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drugs, and shoplifting from local businesses.
