The city of Santa Clarita is looking out for its commuters. In an effort the encourage carpooling and mass transit options, the city is breaking ground on a new Park and Ride facility near the corner of McBean Parkway and Valencia Boulevard, next to the McBean Regional Transit Station.
On January 17 at 3 p.m., Mayor Bob Kellar and the City Council invite the community to join them for the groundbreaking event at 24375 Valencia Boulevard.
“The new Park and Ride is state-of-the-art,” said City Communications Manager Gail Ortiz, “and will include 280 parking spaces, enabling west side commuters to take advantage of mass transit.”
The McBean Park and Ride will also be equipped with restrooms and electronic kiosks, and is expected to be finished later this year.
