April 25: Gelig Scholarship Dinner at Newhall American Legion

Newhall American Legion Post 507 is busy planning the annual Sgt. Ian Gelig Memorial Scholarship fundraiser dinner scheduled for April 25 at Post 507.

The night will open with a cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and  program at 6:30 p.m.. The keynote speaker will be Los Angeles Regional VA Director Dennis Kuewa, who will address the many VA programs available to assist businesses with hiring veterans. Table sponsorships, which include 8 seats and inclusion in the program and advertisements, are $300 and single seats are $20 each.

The American Legion is chartered by Congress to serve Veterans and we do so under our Four Pillars; Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism and Children Youth. In Santa Clarita, we do this through our devotion to community service and mutual helpfulness. We are proud to partner with the SCV Chamber of Commerce in this effort to offer local Veterans with a $2000 scholarship. We would be honored to have you to join us in this effort.

We are also looking for donations of any dollar amount to the Sergeant Ian Gelig Scholarship. 100% of sponsorships, seat purchases and donations will go directly towards assisting an SCV Military Veteran attending college courses.
