This week in Saugus we had five Part-1 crimes. Of the five part-1 crimes there are two which are of most concern. There were two residential burglaries on Parvin Drive over the past week. The first occurred in the 21600 block of Parvin Drive on Wednesday, 08/14/13, between 12:00AM and 7:00AM. The victim discovered that overnight someone had entered through an open back door and stole electronic equipment along with personal items. The second burglary occurred in the 21700 block of Parvin Drive on Thursday, 08/15/13, at 8:15PM. The informant arrived at the location to discover that a window had been broken and the lights were on. Deputies responded to the location and found that the house had been ransacked. It has yet to been determined what was taken in the burglary. Detectives are actively working both cases.
There was an assault with a deadly weapon at Mable’s Roadhouse, 26324 Bouquet Canyon Road, on Saturday, 08/17/13. The victim was stabbed in the arm after being involved in a fight with three other males in the parking lot. Deputies responded and arrested one male for the stabbing.
We had a theft from an unlocked vehicle in the 28700 block of Park Woodland Place between Sunday night, 08/11/13 and Monday morning, 08/12/13. The victim discovered that person(s) unknown stole multiple personal items from his unlocked vehicle overnight. Detectives are attempting to locate possible suspects and recover the property.
There was a petty theft in the 22800 block of Soledad Canyon Road on Saturday, 08/17/13. The witness discovered a female adult syphoning gasoline out of one of the vehicles at the location. The witness called deputies who responded and arrested the suspect without incident.
There were multiple arrests over the past week. The arrests were for theft, assault, narcotics and 8 arrests for driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
