Looking for a Manufacturing Job? Register Today

The Santa Clarita WorkSource Center, in coordination with College of the Canyons and the Employee Training Institute, is hosting a free, all-day recruitment and eligibility workshop on Friday, Sept. 27, for individuals interested in the next Fast Track Institute focusing on aerospace and industrial manufacturing. The program begins at 9:00 a.m. and continues to 4:00 p.m. and will be held at the College of the Canyons Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook University Center, Room #107, located at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road.


All confirmed attendees must arrive before 9:00 a.m. and be available to stay for the complete recruitment until 4:00 p.m. Registration is necessary for this free event. Interested job seekers can register by phone at (661) 362-3112 or online at http://mytinyurl.com/ftcnc9.


The Fast Track Institute provides fast-paced, intensive job preparation programs for job seekers looking for an opportunity to quickly jumpstart their career. The CNC Machinist training course for aerospace and industrial manufacturing is a 280 hour, 7-week course taking place October 7 through November 22, 2013. Classes will be held Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The course fees are $3,500, which is inclusive of the materials fee, but this fee may be waived for eligible candidates identified as part of the recruitment.


Basic computer skills, reading for information and applied mathematics assessment at WorkKeys Level 4 are required of interested applicants. Job seekers are encouraged to dress to impress, have multiple copies of their resume, and be prepared for on-site interviews.
