William S. Hart Park’s new entrance was dedicated Monday as the culmination of what has been a $1 million beautification project.
County and city officials joined Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich for the ceremony at what he called “a crown jewel of the county’s park association.”
Over the last several months, Hart Park’s old chain-link fence has been replaced with a spanish colonial style facade with decorative wrought iron, poster board displays and an electric marquee.
The beautification project was approved by the Los Angeles county board of supervisors last spring.
