Stevenson Ranch / Westridge, Zone 3
This week Stevenson Ranch had 8 reported Part-1 crimes. Of those crimes, there was one residential burglary, five incidents of petty theft, one vehicle burglary, and one shoplifting.
A hot prowl burglary occurred in the 26100 block of Quartz Meza Lane. ( https://local.nixle.com/alert/4941061/ ) Two suspects entered the victims home while she was upstairs. The suspects grabbed her purse and ran out. The victim confronted the suspects in the driveway and grabbed her purse from the suspect. As the victim was attempting to take a picture of the suspect’s license plate, the suspect lunged at her causing her to take a picture of the suspect.
After an extensive investigation conducted by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Detective Bureau, a suspect was arrested.
An iPhone was stolen from Wal-Mart after it was left behind at the register. Money was stolen from a locker at LA Fitness. A theft occurred in the 25900 block of Verandah Court where packages were stolen from the porch after they were delivered. A leaf blower was stolen from the back of a pick-up truck in the 26000 block of Bates Street. An iPod was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 25500 block of Hemmingway Avene. A vehicle burglary occurred in the 27500 block of The Old Road. Two suspects are in custody after they were caught shoplifting at Wal-Mart.
An additional narcotic arrest was made by proactive deputies.
Due to the recent burglaries occurring, make sure to always lock your doors and windows. Always LOCK your vehicles and do not leave personal items visible.
