The privately owned, seven-location, “family-oriented” chain is awaiting permission for a location at Valencia Boulevard and Magic Mountain Parkway – where a Bob’s Big Boy restaurant used to be, said company official Beth Jonker.
“The city has been absolutely fantastic to work with,” Jonker said. “We’re really looking forward to coming to Santa Clarita.”
The closest location for the chain, which specializes in a “medium-sized” crust and “lots of toppings,” is currently in Simi Valley.
The Ventura County-based operation has been in business since the 1980s.
Barring any unforeseen obstacles, officials with the restaurant would like to see a new location in the SCV before the end of the year.
