Leif Karlberg
Based on his performances last week against conference opponents Concordia and Biola, Leif Karlberg (Anchorage, AK) has earned the GSAC’s “Player of the Week” award.
Karlberg, who currently leads the GSAC in three-pointers per game, drained nine more and averaged 24.5 points and 8 rebounds in last week’s contests. For the week, the senior guard shot 16-for-30 (.533) from the field, including 9-for-19 (.474) from 3-point range, and 8-for-9 (.889) at the line.
The Mustangs, who are currently 12-7 overall and 1-3 in conference play, now look to top No. 7 nationally ranked Westmont (16-3, 4-0 GSAC) Tuesday night in Bross Gym. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
